چکیده
We analyze the evolution and drivers of inflation during pandemic likely trajectory in near-term using an event study around global recessions a factor-augmented vector auto-regression (FAVAR) model. report three main results. First, decline 2020 recession was most muted shortest-lived any five over past 50 years increase since May has been fastest. Second, from January-May four-fifths driven by collapse demand another one-fifth plunging oil prices, with some offsetting inflationary pressures supply disruptions. The subsequent surge mostly sharp demand. Third, both model-based forecasts current expectations point to for 2021 just 1 percentage point. For virtually all advanced economies one-half inflation-targeting emerging market developing (EMDEs), this magnitude would leave within target ranges. If is temporary remain well-anchored, it may not warrant monetary policy response. If, however, risk becoming unanchored, EMDE central banks be compelled tighten before recovery fully entrenched.

P-value: What is and what is not
The misinterpretation and misuse of p-value have been increasing for decades. In March 2016, the American Statistical Association released a statement to warn about the use and interpretation of p-value. Alcohol primarily interferes with the ability to form new long-term memories, leaving intact previously established long-term memories and the ability to keep new information active in memory for brief periods. As the amount of alcohol consumed increases, so does the magnitude of the memory impairments. Large amounts of alcohol, particularly if consumed rapidly, can produce partial (i.e., fragm...

This paper presents a new view of model-based diagnosis for evolu-tive systems. The possible behaviors of the evolutive system are captured by a set of events that can aaect its current state. Diagnosing amounts to determining the history of the system, in terms of a sequence of events representing what may have happened to the system between two or more successive observations. This approach i...
